Do we need to live with belief, or with reality, that what actually is? What actually is happening is that people are violent and divisive. We destroy the planet. The majority of people love conflict, the arms race, huge waste of resources and constant bloody wars. Chaos.
That is our reality.
To live with faith is to live with an illusion, the ideal, "that what should be". I am violent buy I will be peaceful. I am a pawn controlled by the corrupt government and corporations but some day I will break free.
To pursue an ideal means to disperse energy, without breaking free from the domain of thought.
Peace means resting in the Universal energy, not dispersing it in fight for a better "future". Give up the false horizontal life. Give the Caesar back what's his. It's not like we have a choice, right?
When you seek anything, when you seek help it's already a mistake and a sign of confusion.
The limited false movement of the horizontal conflict, which is the essence of the subject, the ego, "me", my self, my will, the I, the noise, must come to a halt, not because I want to stop it or I want it to stop but because it is understood that it's an error, a useless illusion, imagination re-produced by thought.
Freedom lies in the extreme of detachment from that what should be.
