 SOME BEAUTIFUL ZEN QUOTES.

The origin of the popular term "Zen" = Dhjana (Indian) >> Channa >> Chan (Chinese) >> Zen (Japanese).
Zen is NOT about concentrating on something (which means choice and effort - so thought) or studying some impossible question.
When properly understood, the term originally means Unitary Perception - the unfocused perception, not directed towards any object, without effort or expectation.
Dhjana was called Silent Illumination in one of the schools.
There is no illumination by or in thought.
Unitary Perception encompasses that small thing called thought, but is beyond thought.

Beautiful Zen sayings:

“Dhjana is not a way to enlightenment. Nor is it a method of achieving anything at all. It is Peace itself. It is the actualization of wisdom, the ultimate truth of the oneness of all things."
“Silence is the gateway to the infinite.”
“The present moment is all we have, and it is the most precious thing we can ever possess.”
“The more we let go of our attachments, the more we become free to live in the present moment.”
“The only way to be truly happy is to let go of everything.”
“The true purpose of life is to awaken to our true nature.”
“The only way to change the world is to change ourselves.”
“The only way to find true peace is to let go of attachment.”
“The most important thing is to see the present moment clearly.”
