FEAR AND SORROW
Fear is a false imaginary movement of the META Process of thought which contracts/narrows perception.
The false division of the horizontal conflict (subject - object) that is produced by thought, is a distortion in observation and the essence of the self and suffering.
In reality there is no ego, self, my will, alter ego, super ego, super I, deeper I, I am, Donald Duck, none of that. It's all a product of thought and this imaginary self is what all fear, sorrow and all psychological suffering is.
All fear and sorrow is memory/thought/imagination/thinking/The META Process (Mnemonic - memory, Eidetic - ideas, Thymic - emotions, Autonomic - reactions of the autonomous nervous system). It is a contraction of perception (concentration/hypnosis).
Unitary Perception (UP)/Dhjana/Yoga/Zen does not mean escaping from fear and its goal is not to escape fear or sorrow. There are no goals in UP. UP means to let go all control, choice, effort and goal seeking and let the scope of perception expand so that fear and sorrow is enveloped in the whole movement of reality, in the unobstructed flow of the universal energy.
To be free from fear/sorrow is to let perception to expand itself with the flow of universal energy, of all that is happening, all the energy that is reaching the brain (light, sound, gravitation). Only in this expanded Unitary Perception, in the unobstructed flow of reality free of control, choice, effort or goals, fear and sorrow dissolves. However it cannot possibly happen if we're always occupied, busy, seeking goals, trying to control what is happening, or fighting in a war.
If a question arises: "Who or what is doing the Unitary Perception?" Then the answer is that it is not anyone or anything doing it. The doer/experiencer/the self (a product of thought) is absent in the flowing perception without control, choice, effort and a goal.
If we were to express this in a positive way, we could say that there is only perceiving, only the void or the perceiving is perceiving. All that is happening is one unitary undivided unfocused universal movement.
