If there is anything wrong with the movies and any kind of pleasures what is it? It's that they end, right? Every thing ends. One meets some friends or has a love affair, or has a candy bar and it all has to end. We can't wait holidays to come and when they end it means disappointment. Everything in time ends with sorrow and there's also the fear of the end lurking in the shadow. The end of a pleasure, the end of comfort.
But does it have to be like that? Maybe it's only like that when we try to seize the movement, control it, choose what we want and evade that fragments we don't want. That means we identify fragments in the movement that is really unbroken. So it's only an illusion. Nothing can be seized. Everything is moving, transforming, changing. That means that if the brain is stuck, wants to grab and hold something from the movement, it does not completely reflect it as it is, all that's happening exactly as it is, but some imaginary product of thought, at least to some extent, right?
Is UP, Dhjana, Channa, Yoga, etc. simply observing the brain doing whatever it is doing, without any control, choice, purpose, effort, expectation, knowledge, a pattern to adhere to? A perception not directed towards any goal, is that possible? I think it's possible and it's very simple!
If we observe all what's happening like that, without any obstruction of the flow of reality, it implies no horizontal conflict of subject - object that is produced by thought, because in this kind of perception thought does not pursue any goal and does not work to complete any task.(in time). So there is no perceiver/observer/self in it, right?
This new kind of perception is not pursuing any sensations, experiences, fleeting and disappointing pleasures because that false movement is the movement of the self, gathering, choosing, trying to ascertain security and comfort, having preferences. This over that. But reality is one unbroken flow that cannot be divided into good and bad, it's all unitary undivided universal one. That is the reality, irrespective if we want it to be like that or not. That is the truth. We can either live the truth or struggle with it and trying to exert our control over it, choose this or that. My will. Isn't that futile?
